Users can log their commute to earn rewards through the app, incentivizing more sustainable means of commuting to and from UMass Chan’s campus. Users can choose to be matched up with other users to rideshare to and from campus, making Bay State Commute an easy-to-use and convenient way to reduce emissions from driving alone.

UMass Chan also promotes the Mass Ride Match tool, which allows users to easily identify all the transportation options within their communities. Mass Ride Match is a one-stop searchable directory of public, private and accessible transportation options in Massachusetts.

UMass Chan partners with the Worcester WRTA to provide public transportation coaching and trainings for those who request them. In addition, UMass Chan provides preferential parking in the Pine Tree Lot to those who register as carpoolers on Campus.
