The Sustainability Council provides information on its website about sustainability initiatives in research, the curriculum, and institutional operations. A brief description of the sustainability newsletter:

The Sustainability Council publishes a quarterly e-newsletter for members of the DU community that includes articles about sustainability-related events and initiatives on campus and in the community. The newsletter features stories about sustainability accomplishments on campus, student and faculty involvement in sustainability activities, and opportunities to learn about and participate in sustainability efforts. It also includes contact information for the Sustainability Council, information on Council meetings, and information on how community members can get involved, etc.

The Undergraduate Research Center sponsors the University's annual Symposium, where students present projects and papers on a variety of research topics, including sustainability.

The University Communications office also publishes stories about student research online and in official University newsletters and magazines to highlight innovative and successful research accomplishments.

We have a sustainability map that highlights the sustainability features on our campus. Each sustainability feature is also explained briefly. We also have sustainability tours mapped out across campus, and we've given the tours during the AASHE Denver conference in fall 2010 and during the Rocky Mountain Sustainability Summit, which DU hosted in spring 2011.

The Transportation Center provides information on its website about alternative transportation methods on campus and in the surrounding area, including public transportation, walking, and biking. Some of the resources available on the website include the following: maps of bike and bus routes; itineraries; relevant phone numbers (e.g., carpool, vanpool, bike, bus); faculty/staff/student bus pass information; a page for Drive Less DU, where community members can pledge to drive less and also report their success.

The Office of Housing and Residential Education (HRE) provides information on its website about sustainability initiatives in on-campus housing, including water consumption, light bulb exchange programs, and the Green Residence Hall Room Certification program.

The Clarion, the official student newspaper at DU, has a person who covers the Undergraduate Student Government (USG), and the Sustainability Committee of USG reports at each of the USG meetings. Typically there is something in the Clarion weekly about what the USG Sustainability Committee is doing.

DU has a sustainability list-serv that we use to communicate with students, faculty, staff, and other community members who have opted in. We send event and meeting announcements, information about sustainability at DU, etc. We currently have approximately 300 members on the list-serv, and membership is growing rapidly.

Interested people can subscribe to our green list-serv by sending an email to green-list-subscribe@du.edu.

DU sustainability Facebook page: We've created a sustainability Facebook page for the campus, which we use to advertise events and Sustainability Council meetings, to share news items, to educate the community, etc.

Paperless Water Law Review: The Water Law Review seeks to provide a unique, high quality forum for sharing ideas, information, legal analyses and policy analyses concerning water law issues. It is the intent of the editorial board and staff to make the Review a valuable resource for the practitioner, the scholar and the policy maker. In May 2009, the Water Law Review went paperless. the University of Denver Water Law Review for becoming a partner in the ABA Best Practices for Office Paper Management program and also as a Law Office Climate Challenge Partner for its efforts and success in going paperless.

The Water Law Review has reduced its paper use dramatically by utilizing a paperless production editing process while maintaining the integrity of its sources.
