"The Civil Engineering Program at California State University Fresno, Fresno CA, strives to provide high quality education required for students to fully develop their professional qualities and skills as civil engineering, and to develop their personal potential to the greatest extent possible to serve the Central Valley and society at large. The next generation of civil engineers faces unprecedented global challenges; from learning to design and plan infrastructures, a trainee civil engineer must, among many things, understand the fundamentals of social & environmental sustainability; must manage & mitigate risks; must understand project economics; and so forth. Keeping these challenges in mind the CE curriculum at Fresno State is designed to fit the current needs of the field by equipping its graduates with the knowledge, tools and skills required to be successful professionally in an increasingly competitive work environment. The Program is proud that the graduates have in fact gone on to work in a wide range of jobs, locally, nationally, and internationally, with the government, private consulting companies, and major industries. The CE Program offers four major areas of concentration: Environmental and Water Resources Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Structural Engineering, and Transportation Engineering."

"The Industrial Technology program is a discipline associated with implementing, operating, and continuously improving systems of machines, materials and processes, as well as financial, human and energy resources. The discipline emphasize the integration of technological management knowledge with leadership skills to help manufacturing/processing industries to achieve desired goals efficiently and with appropriate concern for the environment, ethics, quality and human diversity. The function of the program is to continuously improve the managerial and technical knowledge of individuals by transferring and sharing the most recent technology and practices through cooperative efforts with industry, government and other educational institutions. The program encourages research and problem solving, while providing services to the public, business and industrial sectors."

"Our accredited, two-year Master of Public Health (MPH) Program provides future healthcare practitioners with the necessary skills, knowledge, and attitudes needed to effectively conduct public health assessments, program planning, implementation and evaluation, and applied research to address the needs of our communities.
Mission: To promote, preserve and restore health
Vision: To create healthy communities through sustainable public health strategies that address diversity, health equity and radical disparities
This is accomplished by educating graduate students to be effective leaders and practitioners at the local, national, and international levels. The program also emphasizes community service with the underserved counties and state agencies, as well as develops professional opportunities for Master of Public Health program students and graduates. A unique aspect of the Master of Public Health Program is that it addresses the health needs of the ethnically and socio-economically diverse communities living in the San Joaquin Valley of California. By improving the health of communities, we are committed to the pursuit of knowledge, professionalism, advocacy, diversity, and scholarship."

"The Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Technology is a postbaccalaureate program designed to provide professional and specialized preparation for the candidate interested in acquiring knowledge and skills essential for technology-related leadership in educational settings. Students completing this program will be able to do the following: describe the current and potential impact of advanced technologies on education and society; analyze instructional needs and determine viable uses of technology for meeting those needs; select and develop appropriate technology-based materials that correlate to curriculum objectives; model the effective use of technology within educational settings; demonstrate an understanding of the equitable and ethical use of technology; plan, implement, and evaluate programs that exemplify the effective use of technology to attain curriculum objectives."
