Yes

Name of the campaign:
Sustainability Roadshow

A brief description of the campaign:

The Sustainability Roadshow (2020-2021) was an outreach campaign created to educate students, faculty, administration, staff, and the local community about sustainability and, specifically, how Fresno State continues to build capacity to become more sustainable. The outreach was contextualized through conversations around Fresno State's Bronze Rating in AASHE STARS.

A brief description of the measured positive impact(s) of the campaign:

The Sustainability Task Force (facilitators) made connections with ~300 people. This involved developing relationships with campus stakeholders such as the Vice President (CFO), Provost, Faculty Senate, Student Government, University Cabinet, Athletics, Campus Planning Committee, and University Communications and Advancement to integrate sustainability into their respective roles so Fresno State can obtain a Silver Rating in AASHE STARS.

Name of the campaign (2nd campaign):
The Central Utility Plant Replacement (CUPR) Project

A brief description of the campaign (2nd campaign):

Fresno State has partnered with the Bulldog Infrastructure Group (BIG), a consortium of companies, to develop and implement the largest Public-Private Partnership Utility Infrastructure Project in the CSU network. BIG will modernize and maintain Fresno State’s central utility infrastructure system, while also offering several other energy conservation measures (ECMs) that maximize project savings. As part of this project, a Human Behavior Energy Audit was conducted to assess student, faculty, and staff behaviors regarding energy conservation. The audit involved an initial assessment, in the form of a survey, and was followed by focus groups to better understand findings from the survey. This project also provides internships to students who want to get involved and scholarships to students who are already involved in sustainability efforts.

A brief description of the measured positive impact(s) of the campaign (2nd campaign):

This project is still ongoing so official results are not yet known, but it is projected that this project will reduce overall energy use by 30% and natural gas usage by 73% whereas 20% of campus energy will come from renewable energy. This will equate to the reduction of the following: 15.8 million lbs/year of CO2; 2,611 lbs/year of SOx; 10,999 lbs/year of NOx; and 7,000 lbs/year of H2O.
