Injuries must be reported by either the injured employee or their department to the Workers' Compensation Manager on campus. The Office of Environmental Health & Safety and Risk Management does an initial investigation and reports the claim to Sedgwick CMS (Third Party Administrator of the University's workers' compensation program). On the 6th of each month, Sedgwick provides a list of all claims broken down by new claims, reopened claims, closed claims, and total claims opened. Annually, the Office of Environmental Health & Safety and Risk Management at Fresno State reports claims to OSHA.
