A brief description of the institution’s main campus and other aspects of the institutional boundary used to complete this report:

Fresno State serves the richly diverse region
of Central California. The U.S. Department of Education designates Fresno State as both a Hispanic-Serving Institution and an Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institution. The institution, founded in 1911, has a total undergraduate enrollment of more than 20,000, its setting transects urban-rural areas, with the main campus accomdating 388 acres, alongside a 1,011 acre campus farm. The entire campus features a little more than 70 traditional and modern buildings, with the university farm being used for agronomic and horticulture crops, equine, swine, beef, dairy, poultry, and sheep units, as well as several hundred acres of cattle rangeland. Fresno State was officially designated as an arboretum in 1979 and now has more than 3,200 trees on campus. Fresno State also operates the first university-based commercial winery in the United States. There are currently two satellite campuses: the Visalia Campus and a Downtown Center at Bitwise South Stadium.

Which of the following features are present on campus and which are included within the institutional boundary?:

The rationale for excluding any features that are present from the institutional boundary:

This is our second STARS reporting, which goes beyond the initial AC and EN accounting of our first report, and for now, continuing to focus on the main campus for additional OP and PA data. Future reporting will incorporate satellite entities as reporting becomes continually integrated as part of university operations.
