A brief description of the employee educators program (1st program):
The purpose of the Sustainability Synergy Group is to inform employees, including faculty, staff, and managers, of sustainable practices and efforts on campus. This program is housed through the Staff center and is open to all employees. It is an engaging space where participants can learn how to implement different sustainable practices in the workplace and in their personal lives. Members of the Sustainability Synergy Group become peer educators who share what they have learned with other colleagues in their respective departments. The Sustainability Synergy Group also serves as a space for people who are interested in sustainability can learn from their peers and share successful strategies and challenges.
Active participants of the Sustainability Synergy Group serve as peer educators and participate in supporting and volunteering at sustainability-focused events and programs on campus.
