Dr. Ann Strahm, Professor and Chair of Sociology/Gerontology/Gender Studies, serves as the Vice Chair of the Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Committee.
The Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) is one of the StanCOG Standing Committees. This committee provides recommendations to the Policy Board on matters related to bicycle and pedestrian issues in the Stanislaus region. It reviews transportation projects and recommends planning efforts that enhance non-motorized transportation opportunities in the Stanislaus region. Its membership is comprised of a resident from each member jurisdiction who are bicycle/pedestrian enthusiasts.

Hector Vera, Gardening Specialist, serves as the Composting Committee Chair for the Turlock Community Gardens.
Turlock Community Gardens aims to create a healthy, productive and inclusive environment where individuals from all walks of life can come together and experience and share the joys of gardening. We work to create financially stable and environmentally sustainable community gardens in the Turlock community and beyond. We seek to accomplish this through community memberships, volunteerism, fostering partnerships that serve as a learning laboratory, providing gardening resources to the community and serving as a model for other community gardens.

The California State University (CSU) system Sustainability Officers (SO) hold monthly calls and the Chancellor's Office hosts a sustainability listserv, both aimed at sharing information and offering peer-to-peer support for SOs throughout the CSU.
The Stanislaus State Sustainability Coordinator assisted Modesto Junior College with establishing its sustainability program and is acting as a mentor to the Chair of the Modesto Junior College sustainability committee.
Has the institution had employees or students serving as peer reviewers of another institution’s sustainability data and/or STARS submission during the previous three years?:
A brief description of the peer review activities:
Sustainability Coordinator, Wendy Olmstead, and Dr. David Colnic, Faculty Fellow, reviewed the Boise State STARS submission in June 2021.
Sustainability Specialist, Jennifer Daniels, reviewed the San Francisco State STARS submission in July 2023.
