A brief description of the institution’s methodology for evaluating employee satisfaction and engagement:

Stanislaus State partnered with Campus Climate Surveys, LLC in early 2020 to design a comprehensive campus climate survey for employees and students. During Fall 2020 throughout most of October, the Campus Climate Survey for Administrators, Faculty and Staff was administered to 1,243 employees at Stanislaus State (Stan State). Thirty-seven employees who were also students were invited to participate in the student version of the survey rather than the employee version. Of those 1,243 employees, 382 (30.7%) responded to at least one question item. Of the survey participants, 51 employees provided a written response when asked to offer additional comments about or suggestions to improve our climate for diversity.

A brief description of the mechanism(s) by which the institution addresses issues raised by the evaluation:

Due to COVID-19 and subsequent remote operations, the University’s focus was on setting up and facilitating remote instruction / work and addressing the Fall 2020 survey findings was paused. We will need a new survey since the University will have an interim senior leadership during 2023-2024, while leading a nationwide search is for a new president. We anticipate the new survey to be conducted when new the president is selected in 2024 or 2025.
