A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation :

Written material is distributed during new student orientation, including brochures on sustainability-focused student organizations, sustainability landmarks on campus (i.e., water bottle refill stations, compost bins, specialty recycling bins, ZipCar stations, etc.), trail maps, etc.

During new student orientation, students can participate in a scavenger hunt that utilizes the College's EcoMap, which maps out sustainability landmarks on campus, to familiarize students with the campus and its resources.

Student athletes and volunteers assist in waste management during first year move-in. This included separating recycling from trash and educating new students and their families on where waste goes at Endicott.

Resident Assistants (RAs) and Resident Directors (RDs) are trained on proper waste management in residence halls. After this training, RAs and RDs train their residents.
