Yes

A brief description of other programs or initiatives to encourage more sustainable modes of transportation and/or reduce the impact of student and employee commuting:

NSCC provides students an unlimited Metro Transit pass (U-Pass) as part of their tuition. The pass gives students unlimited access to Halifax's public transportation system while attending school.
This student bus pass is mandatory for all full-time on-campus students attending one of our three Metro campuses. It provides students with an unlimited bus and ferry pass for an entire 9-month period (September 1 – May 31). In addition to regular ferry and bus routes, U-Pass holders can use many of Halifax Transit's "Park & Ride" lots to park for free and catch the bus from there.

The College also has a carpool parking pass program where all preferred parking spaces are carpool spots. Students and staff must sign up with multiple colleagues to encourage carpooling or ride-sharing to obtain parking spaces near the campuses.
