Adjusted net GHG emissions 9,347.61 Metric tons of CO2 equivalent 15,454.40 Metric tons of CO2 equivalent

Start and end dates of the performance year and baseline year (or three-year periods):
Performance year Baseline year
Start date Jan. 1, 2021 Jan. 1, 1990
End date Dec. 31, 2021 Dec. 31, 1990

A brief description of when and why the GHG emissions baseline was adopted:

1990 was selected as a baseline in accordance with SF State's Climate Action Plan, which set a goal reducing emissions below 1990 levels: 25% by 2020 and 40% by 2030. Also, follow's the state of CA AB-32.

A brief description of the institution’s GHG emissions reduction initiatives:

-Implemented building level energy metering
-Started conversion to LED lighting
-Implemented student transit pass to reduce drive alone rate and reduce commute emissions
-Set green building standards for campus including new energy efficiency targets
-Converted most of fleet to electric vehicles
-Decommissioned cogeneration plant in a transition to clean electricity
