All new construction projects and major renovations requie exceeding local stormwater runn-off. UCR recentl restord two or its Arroyos reconfiguring vegetated channels and adding a new detension basin to further improve stormwater management.

Both underground and open retention ponds at the edge of campus, limited need due to lack of percipitation
