A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation (including how multiple dimensions of sustainability are addressed):

All new faculty employees are contacted directly by the Center for Sustainability as part of orientation. They are made aware of the Center's work and the role of faculty members in sustainability efforts on campus, which include social, economic, and environmental dimensions. New employees are also given UWG's sustainability handbook, which focuses heavily on environmental guidelines and information pertaining to working and learning at UWG, but also includes a section on the social and economic dimensions of sustainability. Lastly, the General Faculty meeting at UWG serves as a kind of orientation extension, in which all faculty may take part. At this meeting there are several info tables where faculty can sit down to learn and discuss various topics relevant to UWG faculty members. The Center for Sustainability has a table here and is frequently visited by new faculty members.

Beginning in 2018 the Center for Sustainability will take part in orientation of staff.
