A brief summary of results from the cultural assessment, including a description of any measurable changes over time:

For questions on personal priorities, respondents were asked to rank how important various topics are to their personal well-being. Health, financial security, safety, and clean air were the most highly ranked. Respondents were also asked to rank how important various topics are to them in their community. “Family/children” was by far the most highly-ranked priority.
Respondents were asked how often they engaged in various sustainable behaviors. The most common behavior is walking to meetings when possible.
Respondents were asked to rate their agreement with several statements regarding sustainability at Yale and the impact of their work in ODV and AYA. The vast majority of respondents agreed that Yale’s sustainability reputation can have a positive impact on the work of ODV and AYA. Most respondents also agreed that Yale is a leader in university sustainability and that climate action is a priority in the University’s operational excellence and curriculum. However, there is less agreement that Yale offers sufficient resources for ODV and AYA employees to have a sustainable work environment.Respondents were also asked to rank the top priorities for sustainability within ODV and AYA. Recycling and waste management was the top priority
Respondents were asked several questions related to sustainability within ODV and AYA. The majority of respondents indicated it is very important that the work of the departments become more sustainable.
Several respondents indicated that they are interested in joining a “green team” to develop a sustainability plan of action for their department. Nearly 40% of respondents are interesting in staying informed, with another 36% of respondents indicating that they are possibly interested in this.
