ReSource Initiative

A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome :

The ReSource Initiative makes clothes drying racks and compost bins available for students to check out and use for the school year. Currently, twenty-two compost bins and all of the College’s twenty drying racks are checked out. By utilizing the drying racks, students are able to save energy and money, and by using the bins to compost their food waste (at the campus garden), students reduce the amount of waste sent to the landfill and avoid the associated generation of methane.
