A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation :

All undergraduate students receive digital materials about sustainability efforts at Stevens through the Guidebook orientation app that students are required to download for orientation. Students also participate in our annual involvement fair in which our sustainability-focused student organization is present to share resources and encourage students to join. We also had Via (our shuttle provider) & the Hudson County Transportation Management Association present to discuss transportation options in Hoboken.

Students are introduced to sustainability by their Resident Assistants (RAs) within the first week of school. RAs inform residents about the trash and recycling at Stevens as well as other sustainability offerings.

This year students were also given less giveaway/swag items at the start of orientation, and items were focused more on reusability (like reusable water bottle, blue tooth speaker, reusable bag).
