A brief description of the institution’s methodology for evaluating employee satisfaction and engagement:

Stevens engaged with Great Places to Work to conduct a workplace culture survey. The survey was offered to all Stevens employees. There was a 40% response rate. They calculated the response rate based on the number of employees the survey was sent to and the number of employees that responded. 85% of a company’s score is based on Trust and Maximizing Human Potential and 15% is based on Leadership Effectiveness, Innovation by All and Value.

A brief description of the mechanism(s) by which the institution addresses issues raised by the evaluation:

Stevens has a cloud-hosted reporting platform that provides powerful insights into results to uncover experience gaps. We have a dedicated Great Place to Work culture coach that helps make sense of survey results and provides key levers to pull in order to elevate strengths and close gaps. The culture coach will present results to leadership and HR will help address division gaps and devise mitigation strategy across all units.
