A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about student commuting:

Based on the Fall 2022 Commute Habits Survey only 11.8% of students drive single-occupancy gas vehicles to campus and only 7.9% of students consider single-occupancy gas vehicles to be their primary mode of transportation. This indicates that 88.2% of students always use more sustainable commuting options and 92.1% use more sustainable commuting options as their primary mode of transportation.

A student intern created a thorough survey based on extensive research. The survey was publicized in the student newspaper, on social media, in email announcements, and by professors.

The parking permit data are maintained by the Transportation and Sustainability Development Manager.

Based on the Fall 2022 Commute Habits Survey only 42.2% of employees drive single-occupancy gas vehicles to campus and only 32.9% of employees consider single-occupancy gas vehicles to be their primary mode of transportation. This indicates that 57.8% of employees always use more sustainable commuting options and 67.1% use more sustainable commuting options as their primary mode of transportation.
