Does the institution offer reduced parking fees for car and van poolers?:
No

A brief description of the program:

Carpool incentive passed by Parking Services to be implemented in the Fall of 2013.

A single parking pass can be purchased under multiple licenses resulting in discount proportional to the number of people splitting the license (two people splitting save 50% each three save 66% ect). Two free day parking passes per person per semester will be distributed for days when the carpool fails.

Additionally, there is incentive for faculty, staff, and students to carpool at UConn via the Carpool Tool. The tool allows you to list your name, work phone and/or email and the town, county and state from which you commute. Once you register you may then search for car pool partners by town, county or state and may contact those, who by registering have indicated an interest in carpooling. You may also take your name off the list at any time.
