The University of Manitoba purchases only Green Seal or ECOLOGO certified cleaning and janitorial products. The only products not certified are the pool chemicals used for the Fort Garry campus pool in the Frank Kennedy Centre.
The University of Manitoba uses a Delta Digital Data Control building automation system for tracking energy usage. This process is supplemented with on-going maintenance organized through a Computerized Maintenance Management System. Data is collected and archived through these systems and is then used to monitor, control, benchmark, and identify improvement opportunities throughout the Fort Garry campus. This process (as well as relevant background information pertinent to understanding how we analyze data) is outlined in the attached PDF.
Water usage at the University of Manitoba is monitored following the same protocol as energy, using the same management system outlined in the attached PDF.
