Our library, by its nature, has supported open access to research for decades. The trend toward online research has been around in libraries longer than anywhere else. We are huge supporters of online access and our default purchase and push for access is online access. We have led the charge to have our campus support online access and our Associate Dean has been instrumental in organizing the campuses Academic Senate to adopt and open access resolution which was recently passed (4/21/16). The library is home to the campus’ digital institutional repository, Scholarship @ the Beach (S@B), and the library was also an early adopter of publishing our master's theses online, as well as open access and freely available to the world at large.
