The theme of the core curriculum is "Becoming Responsibly Engaged in the World", or BREW. This is widely articulated on campus, and emphasized in all courses that are part of the core curriculum, as well as many others. The learning outcomes associated with becoming responsibly engaged in the world have been articulated and adopted by the College as the Goals for Liberal Learning, which have been a central part of Concordia for 10 years.

A summary of the Goals for Liberal Learning can be found in the Orientation handbook, page 3 - http://www.concordiacollege.edu/files/resources/orientationguidebook2013.pdf

The full text of the Goals for Liberal Learning is available in the course catalog, pages 23-24 http://issuu.com/cordmn/docs/adm_catalog_2013-14_complete?e=8263652/2521584
