Its founding and ongoing support are made possible through a community partnership between the Thurston County Food Bank in downtown Olympia, the Center for Community-Based Learning and Action at the Evergreen State College, the Evergreen Campus Food Coalition, TESC Division of Student Affairs, and Aramark (the campus food service vendor). Volunteers, location, and donations are made possible through partnering with Evergreen.

The agenda for Farm Workers Justice Day April 24, 2019 was created as a tribute to Jose Gomez. The events are organized to bring farmworker voices to the Evergreen campus to educate and involve students and community members in the critical issues farmworkers face.
