The lowest paid employees are those that are receiving minimum wage (i.e., some student employees and some temporary, hourly employees). WA State’s minimum wage is currently $12.00 per hour.

Regarding benefits, student and temporary, hourly employees accrue paid sick leave at a rate of one (1) hour for every forty (40) hours worked. In addition, depending on the number of hours worked over a specified period of time, temporary, hourly employees may be eligible for medical benefits, which are determined by the WA State Health Care Authority (HCA) rules.
