A brief description of the campus climate assessment(s) :

There have been five Campus Climate Surveys since 2008. The Gonzaga website has summaries of the surveys. A consultant was hired to do another survey, which helped the university incorporate a religious accommodation policy for students to be able to participate in holy days.

Yes

A brief description of the student diversity and educational equity assessment(s):

• Campus climate assessment, 2015, Exceptional results, continuous support from alliances in improving institutional policies to achieve an all green University.
• Student retention on gender, no equity gaps, 2015, n/a, new projects in research of this topic.
• Curriculum analysis on courses content, diversity, social justice, global studies, 2016, increasing international presence, growing awareness and global viewpoints in various courses of departmental programs.

Yes

A brief description of the employee diversity and employment equity assessment(s):

• Track demographics on workforce composition along with ethnicity and gender, 2015, consistency in results.
• Productive discomfort program – training faculty on capacity to do classroom discourse - 2016, on-going project with prospective results in early 2017.
• Impact group – affinity group for equity between ethnic groups - 2015, continuous improvement and policy review, assessment of surveys and turnout.
• Linking ethnicity and diversity to the Jesuit mission, 2015, focus groups, continuous engagement of different student groups, councils, etc.

Yes

A brief description of the governance and public engagement assessment(s):

• Institute for hate studies - alliance since 2014, supporting and sharing objectives and missions across the board.
• Collaboration on research and support with community partners, 2016, on-going engagement of external community alliances and support of city and university sustainability goals
• Co-chair in presidential council - council on equity inclusion and intercultural awareness - recent inclusion to this board, 2015, participation on decisions brought by the President of the University, new projects and initiatives.
