A brief description of the sustainable food and beverage purchasing program:

The Habitat Cafe and Truffles Catering make all of their food purchases through Gordon Food Services who purchase food from sustainable sources. All of the chicken that is purchased is from the Fraser Valley, which is within 250 miles of the institution. When in season, most of the produce also comes from the Fraser Valley. All of the fish is certified Ocean-Wise through the Vancouver Aquarium, and all of the coffee is certified fair trade.
