A former UMass Boston student went through the 2021-2022 course catalog, read course descriptions, and determined which courses were related to sustainability based on the three E's, and created the webpage hosted by Prof. Tlusty, linked in the PDF above or at: http://www.tlusty.solutions/umass_sustainabilitycourses.html
Utilizing this tool, courses containing the following keywords: environmental, climate, equity, climate change, sustainable, environmental problems, global warming, environmental justice, and clean energy, were considered sustainability-focused courses. All other courses are sustainability-inclusive courses. Total courses were found by looking at how many courses were listed per page of the course catalog and multiplied by the number of pages.
