Bluebikes is a bike sharing program which is managed by the City of Boston. UMass Boston community members may register for an annual membership, at a discounted rate offered by the university. There is one Bluebike hub located at JFK/UMass red line station down the street from campus, and another hub in front of the Campus Center on campus.

11 EV charging stations are conveniently located on the first floor of the West Garage. These spaces are available for electric vehicle owners only.

11 EnelX EV Level 2 charging stations are available for student and employees commuters with electric vehicles. These charging stations are available in the West Garage. Umass Boston has a partnership with EnelX, which has installed rooftop solar panels to power the charging stations.

Umass Boston maintains a membership in A Better City Transportation Management Association (TMA). A Better City TMA offers several programs, which provide rewards for participants who choose greener modes of transportation. A Better Commute offers points based on your commuting choices, which can be used to enter monthly and quarterly prizes. The Bike Check program offers up to two $25 reimbursments each year for bike related expenses. The Express Lane program offers up to 3 months of $50 reimbursments when you switch from driving alone to taking an express bus and purchasing the monthly pass. And the CarPool Subsidy program offers up to 3 months of $15 gas cards for participants who switch to carpooling for at least 3 days a week.
