A brief description of the institution’s program to support employee volunteering:

Section 20.11 of the Professional Staff Union contract states the following: "Bargaining unit members are allowed to participate in the Voluntary Services Leave program currently in existence for employees of the Commonwealth in accordance with guidelines established for this program."

The State Employees Responding as Volunteers Program (SERV) gives state employees the opportunity to provide volunteer services to assist in the improvement of the community at accredited non-profit organizations and public entities (including schools). The purpose of these guidelines is to ensure the successful administration of the SERV Program for state employees.

Faculty and Staff are also eligible to participate in Student Leadership and Engagement by serving as an advisor for a Beacon Voyages for Service trip, and they may contribute to Leadership for Social Change Living Learning Community and GROW Peer Facilitators.
