A brief description of the institution’s formal community partnership to advance sustainability:

Mourafaka is a formal partnership between the university, OCP Foundation, Cooperation and developement office. More than 600 new cooperatives being created to benefit from Mourfaka program. This support system is being implemented in three phases, with 200 cooperatives in each phase. The first stage is covering four regions in Morocco, namely Guelmim-Oued Noun, Draa-Tafilalet, Marrakech-Safi, and Rabat-Sale-Kenitra. The kickoff of this 4th phase is taking place on Wednesday, April 6th at the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University in Benguerir.

The Projects defined within the framework of this Agreement relate to the following areas:

Rhamna Convention is a partnership between the Rhamna Province and the university aiming to foster the institution local collaboration and representation.
By this partnership, the university will collaborate with the province on different fields :
* Health :
- Support the provincial hospital center (trainee staff, audit and performance)
- Training of community relays for local medicine in rural areas (Red Crescent, midwife, hygiene)
* Education :
- Development of tele-education through support for local associations.
- Access to UM6P virtual libraries for students in the region.
- Development of the administrations capacities and elected officials of the province (management, finance, communication).
