An Eco-responsible purchasing policy has been written in collaboration with all departments. This charter is a frame work including the sustainability guidlines and criteria that must be applied in purchasing decisions.

*Use ecological products certified with an ecolabel required by the international STARS sustainability monitoring, evaluation and rating system (Blue Angel, Cradle to Cradle, ECOLOGO, European Ecolabel, Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), etc.)

*Buy biodegradable cleaning products and paper (Diversey, THOMIL, Enzypin, etc.).

*Substitute the papers of the Claire Fontaine brand by another certified FSC / ISO type 1 / 90-100% of agricultural or post-consumer recycled residues by Fabriano and Navigator.

88% of the stock of paper purchased in the university is FSC MIXTE certified by the NAVIGATOR and PIONNER brands.

It is recommended to favor :
• Products made of post-consumer recyclable or renewable content,
• Long-lasting products,
• Low VOC water-based paint,
• Mercury-free lamps since Morocco has signed “The Minamata convention” that prohibits the import and export of products containing mercury,
• Preference of the certified buildings by third party,
• Recyclable packaging.
It is also recommended to regroup all purchases and order to limit the supplier transportation.
