Yes. Bicycle parking is available at all buildings on campus. Showers, and lockers are available at the Administration Center and Integrated Technology Center.

A brief description of the bicycle parking and storage facilities:

Western provides short-term bicycle parking (e.g. racks) within 50ft of all occupied buildings but does not have long-term bicycle storage within 330ft (nearest bike storage unit is 0.4 miles from residence halls).

Western adheres to local community policy on bicycle accommodation, providing bicycle and pedestrian paths.

Western offers free MTU bus passes to all students, staff, and faculty. Western offers the SMRT bus for those that live in our outreach (satellite areas).

Western is promoting the state of Wisconsin RideShare program. There are parking spaces specifically marked for carpool. These spots are premium in where they are located, being closer to the academic buildings.

Western is in talks with Community Car to bring the program to La Crosse and is dependent on other partners in the area.

Telecommuting is utilized by many employees to reduce travel.

Under certain circumstances a person can either work from home or work four days a week. They would have to meet with Human Resources to determine eligibility.
