Environmental Association of Universities and Colleges Annual Conference (Keele, June 2018). UCC Sustainability Officer presented on the development of the university wide module in sustainability at UCC.
Green Campus Ireland Network Meeting, Dublin Feb 1st 2018. UCC Sustainability Officer presented on progress of sustainability initiatives at UCC. This was attended by representatives from most HE campuses in Ireland, government departments and CSOs.
An Taisce Changemakers Summit, Dublin Oct 19th 2017. Two students members of UCC Green Campus Committee presented to student members of committees throughout Ireland.
Many researchers listed in the research inventory have presented at international conferences over the last year.

A case study on the Love our Library campaign was submitted to the Cork Environmental Forum awards in December 2017 and was successful in winning the award for best public sector initiative. This award was open to all public sector organisations in the Cork region including all of the institutes of higher education.
The Chair of UCC's Green Forum, Professor John O'Halloran was nominated for a leadership award at the Environmental Association of Universities and Colleges "Green Awards" in November 2017. The Green Campus Team at UCC submitted a video case study on the work that John has done to embed sustainability across UCC.

UCC is the National Operator in Ireland for the UI Green Metric World University Rankings and as such sits on the steering committee for the ranking. Dr Maria Kirrane attended the steering committee meeting in April 2018.
Dr Aine Ryall is the vice-Chair of the Aarhus Convention Compliance committee, which monitors how nations ensure that citizens have access to environmental information.

UCC has a strong relationship with Cork University Hospital, regularly engaging with the sustainability team there to support them in their Green Flag programme. As the first Green Flag campus and Green Flag hospital, there is a close relationship and engagement to advance sustainability on both campuses. UCC Sustainability Officer sits on the Green Campus committee of CUH.

In July 2017, UCC Green Forum co-chair John O'Halloran and Sustainability Officer Maria Kirrane delivered a presentation over Skype to the Amazonas campus UNAL (the National University of Colombia) around the sustainability initiatives in UCC and how these could be replicated and/or learned from in Colombia.
UCC have collaborated with Dingle Hub and Ludgate hub in Skibbereen to run the University Wide Module in Sustainability (Jan-Apr18) from these rural locations.
