Center for Educational Outreach - The CEO is a University initiative that seeks to ensure academic excellence for all K-12 schoolchildren in the state of Michigan. We focus on continuing the University of Michigan’s commitment to educational outreach and to promoting collaboration between schools, organizations, and the community.


A brief description of the institution's scholarships for low-income students:

When a student is admitted to the university, they are considered automatically for most of the scholarships and grants administered by the Office of Financial Aid. Separate applications are not required. Students wanting to be considered for need-based as well as non-need-based university scholarships and grants, can also file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and a CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE.

The University of Michigan also encourages students to explore other funding options including their University of Michigan school or college, private organizations, alumni clubs, and state programs.

MParents tries to provide all parents with sufficient information to make them feel more comfortable with their child attending Michigan. They also host a Parents & Family Weekend, and offer a parent newsletter. The Office of Undergraduate Admissions offers help on the application process, financial aid and setting up campus visits as well.
