A brief description of the source of non-potable water and how it is used:

Through the university’s design standards, building projects are encouraged to consider opportunities for non-potable water use including the capture and reuse of rainwater. The university’s irrigation system and a growing number of buildings make use of the non-potable river water used in the central cooling plant’s open loop heat rejection system.
