The bookstore requires clothing and gift vendors to submit a letter verifying that they meet a minimum level of acceptable codes of conduct. The code is based on minimum standards of basic labour rights set forth by the International Labour Organization (forced labour, child labour, harassment or abuse, nondiscrimination, health and safety, freedom of association and collective bargaining, wages and benefits, hours of work and overtime compensation. The bookstore also now purchase blank fair labour clothing and has the final decorating done locally.
