Yes

Name of the campaign:
Recyclemania Tournament

A brief description of the campaign, including how students and/or employees were engaged:

To help educate the entire campus community (students, faculty, and staff) on the change to single stream recycling initiated in FY2015, Hampshire's student group New Leaf coordinated campus-wide participation in the RecycleMania program spring 2016 and 2017. In 2018, New Leaf coordinated campus-wide participation in the Post Landfill Action Network (http://www.postlandfill.org/)

The Recyclemania Tournament is an 8 week national contest between colleges and universities to track waste generation (recycling, landfill, compost) to work towards waste reduction and higher diversion rate from landfill. Hamshire's progress report is available at https://recyclesearch.com/profile/recyclemania/report/321?node_id=52761&generate=1

During the 2016 and 2017 campaigns, New Leaf held workshops on waste reduction, composting, and published tips (i.e. "pizza boxes can be composted") through the campus-wide announcement system and via a facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/ZeroWasteHampshireCollege/)

Also, the campus communications office highlighted the effort in published news stories:

A brief description of the measured positive impact(s) of the campaign:

Compared to the 2016 RecycleMania results, Hampshire's diversion rate in 2017 improved by 4.2 percent, its cumulative per capita recycling increased by 6.1 pounds, and its per-capita composting increased by 5.6 pounds.
According to RecycleMania data, Hampshire College has reduced its greenhouse gas to date by 129 metric tons of CO2 equivalent, comparable to 25 cars being taken off the road or the energy consumption of 11 households.
