Does the institution participate in a carpool/vanpool matching program?:
A brief description of the program:
JMU engaged Zimride, a web-based social network program for ridesharing, in the fall of 2010. This program has been extremely successful. JMU has more than 10,000 members on Zimride. To date, JMU savings are estimated by Zimride to be more than 1.1 million miles, more than 44,000 gallons of fuel, more than 861,000 pounds of carbon dioxide, and more than $623,000 in cash expenditures.
