A brief description of the methodology used to complete the course inventory :

In order to complete this inventory, it was necessary to obtain an inventory of all courses provided at Université TÉLUQ. This inventory was obtained on September 28, 2022. Then, using the list of courses provided by the Academic Services, only the courses that were offered, on probation or restricted as of September 28, 2022, were considered. Internship, seminar, research project, thesis, dissertation, readings/courses/directed work, and individual project courses were excluded due to the lack of specific topics and the ongoing change in topics.

Courses with the acronym “ENV” were directly classified as “sustainability-focused course” because of their explicit link to sustainability.

Of the remaining courses in the inventory, a keyword search was conducted to extract a list of courses that are focused on or include sustainability (“sustainability-focused course” or “sustainability-inclusive course”). Then, among the courses selected by keywords, those that do not include sustainability were removed from the list of sustainability-focused and sustainability-inclusive courses (e.g., the course description mentions “inclusion” but not in relation to social inclusion).

Finally, the sustainability-focused and sustainability-inclusive courses were separated, taking into account the difference between these two types as established by AASHE.

The final step was to examine the inventory provided by Academic Services, combing through course titles and descriptions to ensure that no courses mentioning sustainability were missed.

How were courses with multiple offerings or sections counted for the figures reported above?:
Each course was counted as a single course regardless of the number of offerings or sections
