A brief description of the institution’s formal participatory or shared governance bodies:

Students, academic, and non-academic staff at Université TÉLUQ participate in university decisions through various bodies and committees.

Students:
The student community can engage in decisions at Université TÉLUQ through the Association étudiante de l’Université TÉLUQ (AÉTÉLUQ) (Student Association of Université TÉLUQ).
AÉTÉLUQ comprises over 20,000 members studying at Université TÉLUQ. AÉTÉLUQ's activities encompass three main aspects: providing services to its members, representing their interests internally and externally, and fostering student life. The Association was established by TÉLUQ students to advocate for and promote their academic, economic, social, and political interests. AÉTÉLUQ upholds principles of democracy within its bodies, active participation in university bodies, transparency, access to quality public education, and solidarity with social struggles. AÉTÉLUQ representatives are present on the University TÉLUQ Board of Governors and in various bodies such as the Academic Affairs Committee, Teaching Evaluation Committee, Institutional Committee on Sexual Violence, program comittees, etc.

Non-academic staff:
Employees of Université TÉLUQ are represented by two associations:
- Association du personnel administratif de la Télé-université (APATU) (Télé-université Administrative Staff Association)
- Association des cadres de la Télé-université (ACTU) (Télé-université Management Staff Association)
Representatives elected by their respective members hold positions on the Board of Governors. Members in managerial positions also sit on the Board of Governors. Service directors are also present on the Academic Affairs Committee.

Academic staff:
Academic staff are represented in the Université TÉLUQ through three unions:
- Syndicat des chargés d’encadrement (Supervisory utors Union, graduate supervision);
- Syndicat des tuteurs et tutrices (CSN) (Tutors Union, undergraduate supervision);
- Syndicat des professeurs et professeurs de la Télé-université (SPPTU) (Télé-université Professors Syndicate).
Representatives of the two tutor unions elected by their respective members hold positions on the Board of Governors as well as program committees and other committees.

Syndicat des professeurs et professeurs de la Télé-université (SPPTU) :
SPPTU aims to establish orderly relations between the management, its employees, and the members themselves, as well as to study, defend, and develop the economic, social, moral, and professional interests of its members. Professors at Université TÉLUQ are present in the following bodies: Board of Governors; Academic Affairs Committee; Resources Sub-Committee; Permanent Program Evaluation Committee; Research Ethics Committee; Research and Creation Committee.
