According to Université TÉLUQ’s Sustainable Development Policy, the mandate of the Sustainable Development Committee is to:
a) Propose, implement and follow up on the three-year Sustainable Development Action Plan;
b) Make recommendations to the University’s management regarding sustainable development;
c) To raise university community members’ awareness of the concepts and principles of sustainable development;
d) Promote the sharing of experiences and expertise in this area;
e) Maintain, update and promote a consolidated picture of sustainable actions and gestures that have already been, are being or will be carried out;
f) Suggest green (eco-friendly) measures that can be implemented in the administrative and academic units.

The Sustainability Committee is composed of:
- The following ex-officio members:
The Executive Director acting as Chair of the Sustainable Development Committee;
A person responsible for the coordination of sustainable development actions appointed by the General Manager, who shall also act as secretary of the Committee. In the event of the Secretary’s absence or inability to act, the Committee shall appoint a secretary for the meeting.
- And the following other appointed members:
One representative appointed by the Tele-University Faculty Union (SPPTU);
A representative appointed by the University Student Association (AÉTÉLUQ);
Up to three persons appointed by the University’s general management following a call for candidates among all employees.
The Committee may also add resource persons to address specific issues.
The Committee is responsible for establishing its internal operating rules.
