Information to support the living wage percentage reported above:

Our employees who are hired as students in paid internships or as research assistants have the lowest salaries. They are not covered by a collective agreement, but rather by a scale that comes from the Quebec Public Service and is increased each year. This scale is the one in effect on April 1, 2022. The lowest salary is $15.39/hr.
The local living wage is based on the “Le revenu viable 2022 en périodes de crises multiples” (The 2022 living wage in a period of multiple crises) report, published by the Institut de recherche et d’informations socioéconomiques (IRIS) (Institute for Socio-Economic Research and Information). According to this report, the local living wage for one year in Quebec City is $28,967, which is equivalent to $13.9 per hour. Since the lowest paid employee receives $15.36 per hour, 100% of Université TÉLUQ employees receive a living wage.
