A brief description of programs, policies, infrastructure investments, outreach efforts, and/or other factors that contribute to the diversion rate for construction and demolition waste:

It is now standard practice to use green construction and demolition techniques for the reuse, removal and recycling of building materials during construction, renovations and demolition at UAlberta.

Data tracking for these projects is still in its early stages, so our data collection has been limited. However, the data we currently have available has been provided here. This data represents all small construction and demolition projects on campus run directly through the university's recycle transfer station, as well as construction and demolition waste from the Innovation Centre for Engineering project to date. All other work will be tracked moving forward.
