During summer orientation sessions, the Office of Sustainability has a booth at the "Spartan EXPO." All new students are invited to this exhibition, which gives them an introduction to various departments, clubs, and programs across campus. The Sustainability Office offers information to all attendees on programs and initiatives, including energy conservation, environmentally-focused student groups, proper recycling techniques, and alternative transportation.
Prospective student tours include information, however; please see notes.
Though not a part of orientation, campus tours for prospective students highlight sustainability efforts. Green buildings, the campus garden, cycling and other alternative transportation infrastructure, and student groups are all highlighted.
