UC Irvine operates a hydrogen fueling station on campus and has a B20 tank. The 17 hydrogen fuel cell vehicles are managed through the National Fuel Cell Research Center and fuel at the on-campus hydrogen station. The total fleet count of 523 also includes 7 fleet vehicles run on propane and 120 electric carts. 49.7% of the fleet is electric, hybrid, or alternative-fuel vehicles.
