No

A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation:

While sustainability topics at Western's new employee orientation are not covered campus-wide, it is worthy to note that Hospitality Services has taken the initiative to include sustainability as part of the new staff training.

Hospitality Services hosts an annual staff conference where over 400 staff participate in training and information sessions as well as team-building exercises. Past themes and agendas have included a strong focus on sustainability including awareness presentations. Re-usable shopping bags were distributed containing an energy efficient light bulb and "leaf Pledges". These individual leaf pledges were submitted by our staff as a way to show their commitment to "leaving a lighter footprint".

Similarly this year's staff training, a 10-15 minutes talk will be given by Hospitality Services sustainability committee and facts about recycling and tips on energy conservation will be on display.

In addition, the Welcome to Western orientation content for new employees is currently considering including 'green' information for the upcoming fall.
